Just wondering what you guys think? I pulled a tire and looked around at what was involved and checked out the springs.. They are QA1's with a 315 lb spring rate.. I looked at the shocks, they are QA1 "F" series, which means they adjust 10/10, 20/20, 30/30 and so on.. I can have them rebuilt and revalved to an "R" series which then allows me to adjust the shocks 90/10, 90/20 and so on.. "R" series is what I want, should I pay approx $200 for rebuild/revalving to an "R" series or should I just buy new "R" series QA1's for around $380 after military discount? What's your thoughts?

How old are your shocks? If there old then I'd go for the new ones. Its only a $180 difference and they are brand new.
My opinion is that if the new part and a rebuilt part are around the same cost then I would always go for the new ones.

I already sent them in for rebuild.. They were on the car when I bought it, so not sure how old they were..Originally posted by jake150129 View PostHow old are your shocks? If there old then I'd go for the new ones. Its only a $180 difference and they are brand new.

That's why they are being rebuilt(they are rebuildable shocks).. New seals, valving, etc.. I'm sure they'll be just fine..Originally posted by b.a.camaro View PostIf the old ones are wore out then i would buy new ones, especially something that important on a car. just to be safe!!!!!!!!!!!.sigpic
