Grabbed a new exacto blade and trimmed away, it's REALLY easy to trim when it's such a thin weave (it's about the thickness of two pieces of paper), anyway here's some pics of the 2nd layer dried and everything trimmed. After the first layer dried, I did some sloppy trimming just to get the part where the ash tray and cubby hole is to lay down, but I didn't have enough to cover the part around the cuby hole and where the 12v plug is, so I had to use touchup paint to paint that... hopefully the 3rd layer of resin will give it a cool 3d effect

And the 3rd layer, still wet:

And a high-res image just to give a better idea since the lighting is so bad:

Plan on fibering any more of the interior?

Dunno, I'm already afraid that I'm going to have too much once the shift plate is done... not to mention that I have a real carbon fiber shift boot that will be going through the shifter's hole, so it'll look like a LOT of fiber in the center console lol. If I do more, I'll probably cover the vent trim, and then the last major CF I do will be after that... and it's on the exterior... and it'll look sweet.

As long as you have the $$$. I want to perfect it first, although I think this piece is the best one so far! I'm seriously thinking I need to buy a new console lid and redo the lid entirely, it's taken on a semi-yellow hue in natural light, and the resin is like 7 layers thick lol.
