Firebird Club Newsletter...

Alright guys,

Its been too long since there were any updates on the club. I have started compiling info for our first club newsletter. So far I have included the following:

Shows with club representation in attendance
Show Schedule for 2008
Member Listing
News on the website, tshirts, and decals
Featured car / member?

What else should be in a car club newsletter. Once I get it all organized, I can put it into frontpage and ship it out to everyone.

What do the Camaro guys have on theres? You could have track events, or up coming car shows that aren't just related to fbodys.

A "For Sale" section would be good...or "Parts Wanted".

Maybe a "Featured Article"? Or a Tech Article?

How do you plan on handling a Featured Car/Member? Do we have a members list yet?

I like the featured car idea . . . here's a thought, we could feature a rare Firebird model each month, do a little research and find pics of the best examples still out there, etc.

Also some other ideas:
- Firebird trivia
- Stats and facts - examples: how many pace car models there have been, production numbers by year, etc.
- Member profiles
- Good sources / websites for parts
- Classifieds
- How about a list of members who are going to various events? Or, if we don't want to publish a list, how about have members volunteer to be the "event coordinator" for a particular event, then tell the members to contact that person with info on meetups, etc.

We are still getting organized. I have someone putting together a website as we speak and should be ready in a few weeks. Once that is ready, there will be a link to a form to fill out for membership. Just check in on the Firebird Club forum periodically. By the way, Thanks for the interest!

I would suggest a list of club staff on the left hand border of the front page.

Dates of club meetings and meeting location.


So currently with out my suggestions we have above:
