Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!
If you have any problems with the registration process or your account login, please contact us!
Wow, this one is a nice one! Fully loaded with Contour interior and TPI! This would be the one to have. Looks like this one was repainted. Wouldn't it be nice to track these Silver IROCs, I know you would like to know as well as I do how many Silver IROCs are out there! http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1985-...QQcmdZViewItem
What are your guesses for ending bid? I am guessing $11,500

About the only thing you can do is work the percentages. Percent of total production of Camaros that were silver, and multiply that percentage on the number of IROC-Z's that were built. And, that would be just an estimate.
The Conteur Interior is very rare, as well. I always thought the red version was a bit much. Our's has the black and gray version, which I think looks nice with the white exterior.

It's amazing the number of ultra low mile silver IROCs that keep popping up. This is the third one I've seen on ebay in the last year. Suddenly my car seems like high miles! This one has 21K. There's one that had 11K and another with 33K. I can't tell if this one has power mirrors or not(mine doesn't). It has the rear shade which mine doesn't have. I can't see if it has the deluxe overhead console either. I'd love to see pics of the underside to see how clean it is being a TX car. I can't believe it has the original exhaust and it hasn't rusted through! I'm not sure on final bid. So far most have ended around 11-12K but haven't met reserve.

My wife won't let me buy any more Camaros until she gets her 2010 orange vert!

Yes, that car sure is optioned nicely. The low mileage on this car is due to the fact that the past owner was sick and the car just sat. I know my Silver IROC had tacked on only 33K miles because the owner had her first child and did not want to sell the IROC, she just let is sit while she was raising her family. It sure is strange to see how these cars from this era where optioned, mine has power windows, power antenna but no power locks. I know now a days you have to have ordered a whole package just to get an extra cigarette lighter. My exhaust is the original too, but it's not the greatest. Have you seen my website with pics of my Silver IROC yet? I know you had asked about some pics awhile ago.
Doug, I really like the conteur seating, I think you are right, the Red is a bit much but I think it goes well with the silver and red trim. I would like to see some pics of your IROC, especially with the Conteur seating against the white paint.

It's funny. I have owned this '85 IROC-Z for 22 years having bought it new in May of 1985. I don't realy have many good digital photos of the car. Most photos were taken back in the day when I mostly shot 35mm slides. I will try to put up a couple here.
My white '85 is actually quite rare. White was not offered until mid-year, and with a limited number of IROC-Z packages sold, there are not many white '85's. Besides James', and mine, I've only seen another one or two in the last 22 years, and I can't even imagine how many car shows I've attended in that time, all over the country.
I ordered ours and it's quite loaded with options. It has TPI w/automatic, tilt, air, windows, locks, hatch, posi, defogger, roof console, 4 wheel disc brakes, rear compartment shade & deluxe Conteur Interior. It does not have pwr mirrors, rear wiper or T-tops. It currently has about 49,000 miles. Never driven in the winter. My original exhaust was very clean when I changed it out for a stainless steel cat-back from GM Performance. It's basically the SLP 2 on the left system like on our '96SS.
I have not driven it in two years now, since we started on Project DZ74. But Iknow, it's patiently sitting there, waiting it's turn.

I was suprised it didn't go higher earlier. I think the fact that it was repainted and there are a couple wear spots on the interior hurt it. Now looking at the underside it's not near as clean as I was expecting. It has a crappy undercoating job and TONS of grease hanging off all the parts on the front as well as an oil leak.
