I have new KYB Gas-a-just shocks and new shock mounts installed back in Jan. By May or so my passenger side strut/shock mount broke. Summit promptly sent me a replacement for both sides. However, that dreadful sound of a broken strut/shock mount returned again on the passenger this weekend. I am kind of at a lost here. My car has never been wrecked, gets alignment regularly, has new upper ball joints, and those who know me know that I don't drive my car that hard. So my question is, what's going on here??? Since the KYB mounts has lifetime warranty, I can call Summit and ask for a replacement, but I think I will ask them if they can credit me and let me switch to Moog and see if they hold up. But for the life of me I just can't figure out if it's just bad batch of parts or something else going on. Any ideas?

Yeah, but that is a once a year thing for 3 laps. If my car break that easily, it ain't much of a sports car.Originally posted by JAdair View PostHey i remember watchin something with you driving your car pretty hard lol smokin your tires in reverse
Wade, regarding to your questions, it makes a god awful clunking sound over bumps, almost like someone using a ball peen hammer smacking the bottom on the car. It doesn't make any noise over smooth services. I can't remember exactly where it broke last time. I'll take some pics this time when I take it off. The way my car keep breaking the same thing again, I'm starting to doubt if I'll keep it.

I think I'd see if you could switch brands and see what happens. If the Moog breaks too then you have a bigger problem.
